Hot and sexy Taylor's first single, "Tim McGraw" was released in 2006, reaching #6 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs. Her self-titled debut album peaked at #1 on Billboard Top Country Albums for eight consecutive weeks and remained at the top for 24 out of 91 weeks, putting her side by side with The Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood. The album also reached #5 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

The hot and sexy singer's latest studio album, Fearless, debuted at #1 on the charts and its sales was the highest debut of any country artists in 2008. This was also the largest opening U.S. sales week in 2008 by a female artist in all genres of music. In its debut week, seven songs in total on Fearless were charted on Billboard Hot 100.

Born as Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson in Santa Barbara, California, Katy started singing in their church from age nine to sixteen. She also took voice and dance lessons, enrolling in at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, and studying Italian opera for a little while.

At age 15, Katy was signed to the Christian music label Red Hill and released her first album as Katy Hudson in 2001. The Gospel-rock album was unsuccessful and she later changed her surname to Perry, which is the maiden name of her mother, because her name was too close to film actress Kate Hudson.

Hot and sexy Katy soon signed to Capitol Records and began recording tracks for her official mainstream debut album, One of the Boys. In 2007, the video of "Ur So Gay" was released and in 2008, the album's official lead single, "I Kissed a Girl", peaked at number one for seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Hot N Cold", was also a success, reaching number three on the charts.

Her album was a worldwide hit and has reached number nine on Billboard 200.
